Its no secret we love our jobs. Fibreglass is our bread and butter and we enjoy creating or repairing anything fibreglass. But did you know we do not just fix fibreglass boats? We can fix just about anything fibreglass and that includes your caravan or campervan. Advanced Fibreglass Techniques looks after everything fibreglass, whether it’s repairing the hull of your boat, or fixing a tear in your campervan, the team at Advanced Fibreglass Techniques has you covered.
We can repair just about anything that happens to your campervan. Whether you have taken it through tough terrain and have a few scratches or scrapes along the sides, or storm damage that has caused a hole or puncture. Bring the campervan down to Advanced Fibreglass Techniques for our team to have a look and provide advice on the best way to get you back on the road and seeing the country again.
Most campervans and caravans are made from fibreglass, at least the exterior panels are. Fibreglass is a strong and durable material, making it one of the best materials for outdoor use. Despite its strength, fibreglass does wear over time, just like any other material. The most common repairs we see at Advanced Fibreglass Techniques include tears or fractures, scratches, and stress cracks, punctures, crushed laminate, and delamination. These are all easy fixes if you know what you’re doing.
Tears are usually the easiest to repair, however may be a symptom of a larger problem. Tears are caused by stress on the strength of the fibreglass and could lead to deep cracks and fractures, so if you start to see tears, regardless of size, bring your campervan down straightaway to prevent further damage.
Scratches happen, whether you have driven too close to a tree branch or the campervan has been parked outside in the weather, the smallest things can cause scratches or scrapes. We can simply fill the scratch and bring your campervan back to new in no time. You want to avoid scratches turning to stress fractures or large tears, this will cause more damage and take a lot more to repair. So, it’s best to keep an eye on your campervan and inspect it regularly for damage.
When it comes to repairing your fibreglass campervan or caravan, its important to know what you’re looking at and be able to see underlying causes, this is why professional repairers like Advanced Fibreglass Techniques are the best way to handle any damage to your campervan. We don’t just fill a crack with fibreglass and hand your campervan back, we investigate the underlying layers and discover any deeper damage that needs attention. We aim to hand back to you an almost brand new campervan, as the last thing you want is to repair one tear only to find another. We look after your campervan as if it were our own and our team is dedicated to finding each and every piece of damage so we can assure you, your campervan is safe. Fibreglass is not known for mixing with water, so if the top layer of your campervan finish is not completely sealed, you could start to see delamination and separation of the layers and that is a whole new world of pain for repairs. So make sure you check your campervan regularly for damage, tears, scrapes, and cracks, and if you see anything concerning, bring it down for the Advanced Fibreglass Techniques team to take a look.

Can you provide a mobile service? My 21 foot Jayco caravan is in dire need of a quality cut and polish,it is currently stored in an open compound? A ball park price to perform this service would be appreciated if possible (I understand that a firm price cannot be given until the job is inspected and then quoted.)
Hi I own a 2006 golf lindwood full fibreglass caravan ,at some stage in its life it was repainted (only one side.) the paint job is excellent but I am forever polishing my van to keep it in good nick.
